Tesla Mystery Lady

June 4, 2013, mkrause

several years ago, I found this photograph in the Westinghouse archives in Wilmington, PA. It sat in a folder labelled “Tesla Personal belongings”, and no further information attached to it. In my opinion, the lady pictured could possibly be Mrs Dorothy Skeritt, sectretary to Mr Tesla for a long time. Does anybody has another clue? What about the footer, “. Jun 68 .”? Would love to get some feedback. Thank you.

  1. Hi,

I found a picture of Tesla’s secretary and this woman has the same smile as this woman.
This is the site I found her picture on, her name was Miss Charlotte Muzar.

    I hope this helps

  2. You should contact Tesla museum in Belgrade they have collection of Tesla personal photos and dr. Abramovic are currently best Tesla biographer because he read most then any other man of Tesla papers. There are more then 150000 documents. Abramovic said that Tesla kept everything including many photos which are given to him by ladies and by his friends. It was custom back that in high society to give someone picture of yours if you care about him.

  5. Huh, does this outfit look like 1868? Tesla would have been 12yrs old. And since Tesla died 1943 was not his from 1968. Would a style expert please weigh in on decade of her outfit and the ones in background. Otherwise my quick hunches would be Anne Morgan or Elisabeth Marbury. Thank you good luck!

  6. Would not be Miss Morgan, I guess. Will check for Elisabeth Marbury. Thank you, Michael.
