The Copenhagen conference (COP15) shows how unimportant the true issues of humanity are treated in the 21st century. It is the political collapse of the environmental movement, the victory of economy over reason. Now, there seems to be only one way left: one by one, the public has to be informed about the real extent of the climate catastrophe we’re already in. We humans need oxygen, and we are burning it up and replace it with CO2. What did Tesla say: “This method is barbarous!”
Hi! The Dec. 11-presentation “How Nikola Tesla invented the 20th century” at the cultural center Urania in Berlin was very well attended and got some big applause. The newly sketched presentation (running time: 43 minutes) and the film “All About Tesla - the research” in its 42 minute-version was followed by a lively Q&A, mirroring the awareness and public interest in Nikola Tesla and his work as well. Various topics were discussed, starting with interest in Tesla’s later years and his becoming a role model of the “mad scientist”, and ending with remarks placing Tesla in the same realm as Leonardo daVinci. Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) is one of the most important masterminds of the modern age, thanks to his thoughts we have energy (AC) and telecommunication (radio). Tesla’s life is like a thriller /w ingredients of science, money and power, and - becoming more important in the future, Nikola Tesla is the visionary of an ecological energy concept for the 21st century.
When Tesla was going to die, U.S. authorities had to deal with the problem how to seize his property. It was understood that the stuff was valuable, regarding Tesla’s repeated reports of particle beam weapons and death-ray machines. A trick was found. Authorities declared Tesla’s belongings as alien property so it could be seized by the Office of Alien Property. This made it possible to get a hold of the stuff immediately after Tesla’s death. But it also meant that now that it was alien, Sava Kosanovic, Tesla’s nephew, could put his hands on Tesla’s heritage in the end. So, with a little clever trick, the U.S. deprived herself of the physical heritage of Tesla. But still, his concepts, visions and ideas are still for free.
As a kid, Tesla had the naive idea of a ring around the earth providing us ‘earthlings’ with power and intelligence (at least he claimed this idea in his autobiography “My Inventions”). Today, geostationary satellites implement Tesla’s vision- for the intelligence part. But at the time of publication, nobody understood the significance and usefulness of this thought of Tesla’s. Instead, it seemingly made more sense (or: fitted better into the idea of the boogeyman within) to transform Tesla and his “nasty” ideas into the villain threatening mankind and charging Superman. Until today, it seems rather uncommon to accept divergent thinking; to separate the thought from the thinker; and to invest whatever it takes for the benefit for all of us. We might learn from this story where to turn our heads next and take whatever it needs, just for the benefit.

Nikola Tesla lived in an age of decisions. Around 1900, all ingredients of the modern times came into being. Would Tesla’s ideas had been successfully integrated in the to-do scheme of the times, our world would be quite different. Free communication, free sustainable energy production, emmisssion-free electric cars. How radical was Tesla actually? Imagine an engineer in our times (2009) suggesting all what Tesla envisioned for the future, i.e. today, how radical would this still be? Tesla was ridiculed and neglected, seen as a mad scientist. How people with ideas like Tesla’s are treated in other parts of the world today, follow the cause of Michail Chodorkowskij. It is another time today, another (political) case for sure. But it is the same realm, and we are still far away from clean energy supply.
Nikola Tesla in his Colorado Springs Notes foreclosed his method of transmitting energy over a certain distance. Tesla created an energetic field, into which he transmitted certain amounts of electrical energy. If NOT far away, he could lit up up to 3 light-bulbs over a distance of several hundred yards. He always said that at the moment it was only possible to transmit SMALL amounts of energy. And it worked.
To clear the misty fog: some people try to imagine Tesla into a U.F.O., coming either from Mars or from Venus. Actually, he was NOT an extra-terrestrial. The U.F.O. story is just there to promote the issues of those who are telling this to an unaware audience. Tesla was an Austrian Serb, he didn’t die in poverty; and yes, he discussed civilizations on Mars. But so did Edison, among others. Beware of U.F.O-stories, there is always a reason!
Tesla had his Saint Nicolas, who accompanied him through his life. As Tesla wrote to JP Morgan, there was a failure in communication during Wardenclyffe. No U.F.O.’s please, just human belief.
